I get that this isn’t a car photo, but it is a photo of a train. And like cars, trains are a form of transportation. So I mean, the logic of its inclusion here tracks, right? Anyway, let’s take a break from talking only about cars and instead talk about photography.
So this one time I flew to Japan after learning that the Lightroom app would allow my iPhone 8 to take RAW photos. And better yet, not only did this app give me raw, unfiltered visual data—it gave me manual control over the phone camera, too. Well, control over the shutter speed and ISO, at least. So with just a few taps I could dial in the right amount of motion blur and get those sick tonez, as the kids say.
Even though I’d go on to eventually upgrade my iPhone to a multi-lens Pro version with “native” RAW support, I still default to the Lightroom app for most of my iPhone photography needs. Not saying I’m a master photographer or photo editor or anything like that, but I feel I’m able to get better, more natural-looking results if I’m the one making artistic choices rather than the computer.
As for details of this particular photo, it’s a train platform somewhere in Sapporo, likely somewhere within Sapporo Station itself.
